Spicy Shrimp Pasta

  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1.5 lb raw peeled deveined medium shrimp
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 26 oz jar arribiata sauce
  • 8 oz whole wheat spaghetti
  • ½ c shredded mozzarella


  • Warm olive oil in skillet. Cook shrimp in oil, flipping halfway through. Dice onions and garlic while shrimp cook.
  • Remove cooked shrimp from skillet, and add onions and garlic. Saute until onions are transparent and garlic is fragrant.
  • Add sauce to pan and cover. Bring to a simmer, and cover.
  • Cook pasta in boiling, salted water while sauce simmers.
  • Add shrimp, noodles, and cheese to sauce. Stir and serve.
